Sedona News – In celebration of Sedona’s rich connection to nature and the cosmos, the city’s most luxurious hotel and the only Two Key MICHELIN hotel in Arizona, Ambiente, a Landscape Hotel, announced today the launch of new lunar-inspired wellness, dining and adventure offerings designed to align guests with the moon’s natural rhythms amongst the mountain town’s breathtaking red rock backdrop.

20241016 AmbienteStars2One of only eight destinations to earn the prestigious designation as an International Dark Sky Community – a rare sustainability accomplishment awarded based on a community’s night-sky ordinances and light pollution efforts – Sedona’s clear skies allow for unrestricted views that rival any stargazing destination in the world. The city has also long been recognized as a retreat with deep metaphysical roots, attracting spiritual seekers from around the globe seeking a hub for healing and transformation.

Each guest Atrium at Ambiente boasts a private rooftop deck with a daybed and firepit, perfect for daytime sunbathing and evening stargazing alfresco, making the landscape hotel a supreme sanctuary for guests looking to sojourn the Southwest under the stars this season. With rates throughout the fall starting at $1,299/night Sunday-Thursday and $1,799/night on weekends, Ambiente is now offering several celestial experiences, perfect for those traveling during the many meteor showers, eclipses and Supermoons covering the sky this fall and winter.

Dark Sky Sound Bath Session ($170)
Nestled within the main lobby building is the renowned Velvet Spa, an intimate six-room retreat that combines age-old wellness traditions with innovative technologies. Focusing on treatments that incorporate locally sourced ingredients reflecting the region’s healing essence, Velvet provides a variety of rejuvenating rituals.

This season, the wellness team introduces a transformative Sound Healing Journey beneath the stunning dark skies of Sedona. Guests will be enveloped in sound and vibration, guided through a meditation that harmoniously weaves intention and breathwork into each chakra, reaching deep into the soul. This experience will address the energy, physical, emotional, and mental aspects of being, facilitating recognition, profound release, and alignment. A variety of sound healing instruments crafted from natural materials like sand, brass, and crystals, along with a Native American drum, will help induce a state of deep relaxation.

In keeping with the celestial theme, the spa also features the Celestial Chakra treatment, inspired by the lunar events that illuminate the night sky. This transformative session employs a blend of techniques—including crystal sound bowls, traditional massage, aromatherapy, moon-shaped crystals, and gentle energy work—to rejuvenate the senses and restore harmony to the seven chakras.
Full Moon Sedona Jeep Tour | $244 per person (2 hours)
Offering Sedona’s only all-private tours, Sedona Jeep Tours has partnered with Ambiente to offer guests a majestic full moon tour across the serene Sedona desert. Experience the natural beauty of the landscape as you embark with a tour guide on an enchanting moonlit jeep adventure, rekindling stories of history, legend and lore under the full moon’s brilliance. Imagine yourself in a simpler time where the people observed the moon and sky with nothing but their naked eyes and uncluttered minds. This unforgettable experience offers fascinating insights and the moon-kissed red rocks of Sedona, all from the comfort of a private Jeep with heated seats.
    Dining Under the Stars
20241016 AmbienteStarsAt the center of the property is the hotel’s full-service signature restaurant, Forty1, serving seasonally rotating breakfast and dinner menus that showcase a steadfast commitment to embracing the Verde Valley’s abundance through Modern American cuisine. Now available for couples looking to add a little romance to their getaways, a Romantic Dinner Under the Stars pre-fixe menu ($450++ (2 guests)) offers three courses, a shared appetizer, a choice of filet or sea bass each, a shared dessert and a bottle of Moët, all set on the restaurant’s outdoor patio under a star-filled sky.
Guests can also enjoy a specialty moonrise menu perfect for enjoying in-room or on the open-air private rooftop of each Atrium. Sweet treats include strawberry and chocolate mousse domes with edible glitter ($16), gluten-free Denizen Farm Milk and Harvest Moon Snickerdoodle cookies ($23), and a limited-time Starry Night cocktail made with Tito’s vodka, butterfly pea flower, egg white, strawberry syrup, lemon juice and an edible glitter bomb ($19).
    Crystal Charging
Guests are invited to join a local Sedona gemologist for an insightful workshop on utilizing crystals to enhance personal manifestations. Whether experienced in working with crystals or new to the practice, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the unique properties of precious gemstones and discover which ones align with their individual journeys.
An idyllic haven nestled amidst three remote, rugged acres of serene desert and forest landscapes, Ambiente offers a sublime blend of natural beauty and tranquility. An unparalleled guest room experience, Ambiente’s contemporary, elevated Atriums are comprised of floor-to-ceiling bronze-tinted glass and matte-charcoal and rusted metal, seamlessly blending into their natural surroundings with sustainable, organic architecture that supports a disconnection from everyday life and a reconnection with nature. The luxurious accommodations feature sleek, elemental interiors and amenities such as a petite kitchen with daily restocked refreshments and bespoke design touches, including live-edge wood furnishings, large, dual-head rain showers, oversized soaking tubs, a cozy sectional with plush throw blankets and platform beds draped in silky sheets and down bedding. To learn more about Ambiente Sedona and make a reservation, visit AmbienteSedona.com.

    We Have Been Thoroughly Trained!
    By Amaya Gayle Gregory

Throughout the years, we have been trained. Part of the training is to see others as trained, but not ourselves. Even though we are the others that others are trained to see as trained, we tend to miss that little nuance. The training says we must know what’s right and speak out when we see something that runs contrary to our understanding of rightness. We don’t stop to realize that what we see as right isn’t exactly right or it would be the right version that everyone in their right mind knew as right. There are billions of versions of right but ours is the only real right one. Seems fishy, doesn’t it? We spend our days, our lives, catching others — the wrong ones — doing and saying things in support of their versions of right and our training has us jumping on the critical bandwagon lest we be painted in support of the wrong right. What in this crazy world moves us with such amazing force to crave rightness, to need to be seen as right? Read more→
