Sedona, AZ — Sedona Sister Cities and the Polish American Congress are proud to cosponsor Sedona’s first authentic Polish Picnic on Saturday, September 20, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Posse Grounds Park. This free, family-friendly event will feature delicious Polish food and beer, traditional games, and vibrant cultural entertainment.
A highlight of the day will be a special performance by Biołe Góry – the Arizona Polish Highlanders Youth Group. Formed earlier this year, Biołe Góry brings to life the rich traditions of Poland’s Tatra Mountains through lively dance, beautiful songs, and authentic folk costumes. Their mission extends beyond performance, as they work to teach and inspire other young people to value and preserve their heritage.
The name Biołe Góry, meaning “White Mountains,” symbolizes the connection between Poland’s majestic Tatras and Arizona’s own White Mountains. The group’s members, ages 8 to 22, come from across Arizona but are united by their shared faith and cultural roots centered in the Polish parish of Phoenix.
Through music, dance, and tradition, Biołe Góry builds bridges between generations and communities—celebrating both their Polish heritage and their American home.
Join us at the Posse Grounds, Saturday, September 20, 11 AM – 5 PM for a day of food, fun, and cultural celebration at Sedona’s first Polish Picnic! Full details: sedonasistercities.org.
