Verde Valley News – Yavapai College’s OLLI program has elected its first female leader for the Verde Valley/Sedona Council. Local businesswoman Sharon Sherman will serve as Leadership Council Chair for the Verde Valley/Sedona Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

A local businesswoman with leadership experience as the president of the Cottonwood Toastmasters, Sharon Sherman has spent her career working in management and executive sales in the publishing and technology industries. She also has extensive experience working on a variety of non-profit boards, and started her own tech repair business helping community members stay connected during the COVID pandemic.

Sherman has an impressive resume within the OLLI program – developing and teaching classes, serving on OLLI’s strategic planning committee, and serving as an active member of the Leadership Council. Her most recent efforts focused on faculty development and working with OLLI Sedona/Verde Valley/Prescott OLLI’s Joint Coordination Council.
