GOHS awarded $5,000 for Federal Fiscal Year 2026 to support DUI and impaired-driving enforcement throughout the city with the goal of reducing alcohol and drug related crashes, fatalities and injuries through targeted enforcement, education and public awareness efforts.
GOHS awarded another $5,000 to enhance speed and traffic enforcement citywide with the goal of reducing traffic-related fatalities and injuries associated with speeding, aggressive driving, red-light violations and other unsafe driving behaviors.
The Sedona Police Department extends its appreciation to the GOHS for its continued support in helping keep Sedona a safe place to live, work, play and shop.

The Arizona GOHS is committed to achieving zero fatalities on Arizona roadways. Its mission is to provide a comprehensive, coordinated approach to highway safety through leadership, funding, public awareness and community engagement. GOHS supports programs that address key safety priorities, including speeding and reckless driving, impaired driving, occupant protection, motorcycle safety and pedestrian and bicycle safety. The agency works to influence policy and increase public awareness of critical highway safety issues.
