Sedona News – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to join theaters around the world to present the global premiere of “Man and Witch: The Dance of a Thousand Steps” showing July 28 and 30 at the Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre.
Tami Stronach — the iconic Childlike Empress in “The NeverEnding Story” — makes her long-awaited return to the big screen in the new fantasy film “Man and Witch: The Dance of a Thousand Steps”.
When a lonely goatherd discovers that he has been cursed at birth to never take a wife, he makes a bargain with a reclusive witch to reverse the spell, only to find that if he can’t complete her three impossible tasks, he will never find true love.
“Man and Witch” features Sean Astin, Christopher Lloyd, Eddie Izzard, Jennifer Saunders, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Michael Emerson, Bill Bailey, Daniel Portman, Stuart Bowman, Martha West and Greg Steinbruner.
Before the film, audiences will take a journey behind the scenes of “Man and Witch” with an exclusive first-look at the creation of the film’s charming animal mascots developed by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Plus … an extremely rare interview with Renato Casaro, the legendary poster artist, who came out of retirement to hand-paint an incredible new poster for “Man and Witch”.
“Man and Witch: Dance of a Thousand Steps” will be shown at the Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre on Sunday, July 28 at 3:30 p.m. and Tuesday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $12, or $9 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.
