Festival partners with The Wilde Resort & Spa for “Wilde Wednesdays” outdoor films
The Sedona International Film Festival is partnering with The Wilde Resort in West Sedona to present its “Movies on the Move” outdoor film experience — “Wilde Wednesdays” Cinema Under the Stars — every Wednesday in the summer season!
Join us on Wednesday, Aug. 6 as we present “Footloose” in The Grove Fire Pit Garden at The Wilde Resort and Spa.
“Footloose” was nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Original Song for both “Footloose” and “Let’s Hear It For the Boy”.
Moving in from Chicago, newcomer Ren McCormack (Kevin Bacon) is in shock when he discovers the small Midwestern town he now calls home has made dancing and rock music illegal. As he struggles to fit in, Ren faces an uphill battle to change things. With the help of his new friend, Willard Hewitt (Christopher Penn), and defiant teen Ariel Moore (Lori Singer), he might loosen up this conservative town. But Ariel’s influential father, Reverend Shaw Moore (John Lithgow), stands in the way.

“Footloose” will be shown outdoors at The Wilde Resort and Spa (2250 W. State Route 89A in West Sedona) on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. Parking is free and available at The Wilde Resort and Spa.
Tickets are only $10 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.
