Being sensible can be excessively boring. At least Jack thinks so.

While assuming the role of a dutiful guardian in the country, Jack lets loose in town under a false identity. Meanwhile, his friend Algy adopts a similar facade. Hoping to impress two eligible ladies, the gentlemen find themselves caught in a web of lies they must carefully navigate.

Max Webster (Life of Pi) directs this hilarious story of identity, impersonation and romance, filmed live from the National Theatre in London.

“The Importance of Being Earnest” will be shown at the Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre on Tuesday, April 8 at 3:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 general admission, or $13 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona.
