Celebrate Father’s Day with an evening of hilarity and laughs!

The show will feature headliner Pete George with Dylan White opening the evening.

    PETE GEORGE

If you could go back again, would you? Comedy through the eyes of a child — the innocence, the naiveté, the simplistic view of problem solving. Is there one of us who has not longed for those days gone by? That one would be Pete George — he never left.

In an industry constantly looking to the horizon for the newest star, Pete has been considered by many to be the next to shine. His unique style and viewpoint drawn from his life is showcased through an adult body with an adolescent outlook.

After fifteen years in the making, Pete is loose on society to help us regain what we have lost – The magic of our childhood innocence. Combing the twisted, musical upbringing of a heavy metal polka accordionist and a bright child trapped in an eccentric environment, Pete has traveled the country.

Described as a “sitcom” waiting to happen, Pete’s variety of comedy and music entertains cross-over audiences, old and young, big and small, rich and poor, by appealing to the insecure child in all of us – the one always picked last for the team, the one made fun of for the sweater his mother made him wear, and the one encouraged nightly by those coming up after his show saying, “We can’t wait to see you on TV.”

    DYLAN WHITE

After over 10 years of playing the Genie in Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular at Disney California Adventure, Dylan is “out of the blue” and on the road. He has been making people from all over the world laugh with his snarky Gen-X sensibility and his unique perspective on divorce, dating after fifty, depression, and everything in between.

Stand-Up Comedy Night at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre is made possible by our hospitality sponsor, The Wilde Resort & Spa.

Stand-Up Comedy Night hits the stage at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Sunday, June 16 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $20.

For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.

It Takes a Lifetime and Sometimes Even More

    By Amaya  Gayle

Sedona, AZ — It takes a lifetime (perhaps lifetimes) of stretching and expanding, ripping and tearing, just to move through one’s predispositions, to meet one’s inbred resistance and evolve to the grace of simple tolerance. During this precious part of the journey, it feels like you are taking the steps, are choosing right, left or straight ahead, that you are in the game.
