“Spoiler Alert” – directed by Michael Showalter – closely follows “Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies,” which Ausiello wrote in the wake of his husband Kit Cowan’s death from colorectal cancer, at age 42. Bringing the couple’s 13-year relationship to life on screen are actors Jim Parsons, as the TV-obsessed Michael, and Ben Aldridge, as the dashing photographer Kit. Together, they chart the highs and lows of the couple’s early romance, honeymoon phase, contentious later years and difficult-but-love-filled final days.

“Spoiler Alert” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre Dec. 30-Jan. 5. Showtimes will be 4 p.m. on Friday, Sunday and Monday, Dec. 30, Jan. 1 and 2; and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 3, 4 and 5.

Tickets are $12, or $9 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.
