Sedona News – The Sedona-Oak Creek Airport Authority (SOCAA) is proud to announce that Mr. Ben Everett has achieved the status of Airport Certified Employee (ACE) Operations under the auspices of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) (an industry professional training and accreditation organization).
When asked what his favorite part of his job was, he said fueling small general aviation aircraft with the AVGAS truck and getting to talk to different people who just landed was what he liked most. This was no surprise. Ben is often mentioned by pilots and others to management as very friendly and going above and beyond expectations to make their time at the Sedona Airport a great experience.
Pam Fazzini, President of SOCAA stated, ‘The Board congratulates Mr. Everett for his exceptional work ethic, service, and initiative in accepting a challenge to further his education in airfield operations. His outstanding performance greatly contributes to Sedona Airport’s objective to continue to improve overall safety and expand service for our clients and our community’.
Ed Rose, General Manager, echoed these comments stating, ‘Ben has always been attentive to safety in airport operations. This certification, as an ACE, confirms Ben’s dedication and aptitude for success in safe airport operations. We applaud Ben’s achievement as well as his being a role model for staff. Mr. Everett also earns a $500 stipend for his efforts.’
