Sedona, AZ — SEDONA, Ariz. – The city of Sedona’s Parks and Recreation Department will host the community’s most unique annual Halloween tradition: the Pumpkin Splash on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sedona Community Pool, located at 570 Posse Ground Rd.

Instead of picking pumpkins from a patch, participants will jump into the pool to retrieve their favorite floating pumpkin. After the splash, kids can head to the no-mess pumpkin decorating station; enjoy music, games, face painting and treats; and take home a goodie bag full of Halloween surprises.

To make the celebration even sweeter, registration is free. Walk-ins are allowed but participants are encouraged to register ahead of time to secure a pumpkin and a goodie bag. Plus, every registrant will be automatically entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $250 Spirit Halloween gift card, which is perfect for picking out costumes and spooky décor for Halloween.

    Compassion Has no Party

Whether you are Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative, one truth remains: the vast majority of people on this planet are, at their core, decent. They believe in fairness, in dignity, and in the simple idea that other human beings matter.
