Yavapai County, AZ – MATFORCE, a primary prevention organization dedicated to preventing youth drug use, has collaborated with the Prescott Valley Police Department, Fry’s Pharmacy, and the Chino Valley Police Department. This partnership provides residents with a safe and proper way to dispose of unwanted medications.
Through community partnerships and dedicated efforts like Dump the Drugs events, Yavapai County has successfully collected and safely disposed of over 45,000 pounds of medication since 2008. This achievement has been made possible through a network of drop box locations throughout the county and Dump the Drugs events.
Join Fry’s Pharmacy and the Prescott Valley Police Department for a “Dump the Drugs” event on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This convenient prescription drug take-back event, located in the Fry’s parking lot at 3100 N. Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley, offers community members a safe way to dispose of expired or unwanted medications. Look for the pop-up tent in the Fry’s parking lot.
The Chino Valley Police Department will host a “Dump the Drugs” event on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event will take place at the Chino Valley Police Department, located at 220 N. State Route 89 in Chino Valley.
To promote the continued proper disposal of medications throughout the year, 14 prescription drug drop boxes are conveniently located throughout Yavapai County. For more details on these locations, contact your local police department.
