YAVAPAI COUNTY, AZ — In a time when many LGBTQ+ youth continue to navigate social, financial, and personal challenges, PFLAG Sedona/Verde Valley and Unify Sedona are proud to invest in the next generation of leaders through the Jacqueline Richardson and James Dunne Scholarship.
Now in its ninth year, this scholarship supports LGBTQ+ students and straight allies who demonstrate integrity, resilience, leadership, and a commitment to uplifting their communities. The program honors the legacy of Jacqueline Richardson and James Dunne and reflects the shared mission of both organizations: ensuring that every person has the opportunity to be seen, supported, and celebrated.
Eligible applicants include:
- Ages 18–35
- High school seniors or current college students
- Residents of Sedona, the Verde Valley, Prescott, Prescott Valley, or Chino Valley
- Students planning to attend a post-secondary institution within one year
Applicants must submit a completed application, transcripts, required essays, and two or more letters of recommendation.
All application materials must be received by February 28, 2026.
