Verde Valley News – On Saturday, April 12, 2025, the Citizens Water Advocacy Group (CWAG) will host an informational presentation by Chris Kuzdas PhD the Arizona Water Program Director for Environmental Defense Action Fund. Chris will discuss local community efforts seeking local control and self-determination over groundwater supplies across rural Arizona over the last several years, and the barriers communities face in our state legislature. The presentation will feature stories from across the state. Chris also will speak about specific water bills and what we can do moving forward. There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions.  Please join us for this important presentation!

This will be a hybrid meeting: in person and on Zoom. To attend in-person, join us at the Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation building at 882 Sunset, Prescott (2 blocks west of True Value).  The presentation will start at 10 a.m. There will be coffee and snacks at 9:45 a.m. for informal conversations before the program. Individuals wishing to view the presentation via Zoom can register at the “Next Event” link at www.cwagaz.org. Questions/comments? Email us at info@cwagaz.org or call 928-445-4218.
