Camp Verde News – Camp Verde Community Library is happy to announce the arrival of 14 eggs from a rare chicken breed for our 2025 Chicken Egg Hatch-Along! These special eggs were placed in an incubator on March 26th, beginning their 21-day journey to hatching. We invite the public to visit the library and watch the incubator as it counts down the days, maintaining the perfect warmth and humidity while gently turning the eggs, just like a mother hen.

Our display case showcases and provides information on the essentials needed to care for the chicks once they hatch. Join us every Wednesday at 1 PM to check on the eggs’ growth and development. While you are here, enter our “Name a Chick Drawing” and help us name a hen and rooster!

The Hatch-Along events are listed on our events calendar at https://yavapai.events/ or at the library website at www.campverde.az.gov/cvcl. You can also follow the eggs’ progress on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.

We look forward to seeing you!
