Sedona, AZ — Camp Verde, AZ – Music in the Stacks returns to Camp Verde Community Library on Thursday, July 10 at 5:00 pm. Music in the Stacks is a showcase of local and national musicians who entertain regularly in Northern Arizona. There are 3-5 different performers during the show, with a rotating variety each month.

This month’s concert features Mark Bishop Evans, Spencer Vandevier, and Gregg Gould.

Mark Bishop Evans grew up in Southern California where his major musical influences were Gordon Lightfoot, Peter, Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and pretty much any folk, folk rock, or beach music.  He has a way with words and melodies, bringing them together in pleasant and poignant combinations. His music is an intriguing blend of Folk, folk rock, and ballads, lyrically rich in emotional content and melodically comfortable like a favorite jacket. After spending 30 years in the Boston area and loving the folk and songwriter community, he has settled in Phoenix and continues to create and perform.

Singer/Songwriter Spencer Vandevier attended Santa Fe University of Art and Design and Graduated in 2015 Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Music Performance with a focus on electric and upright bass. This is also when his interest in songwriting truly blossomed. His music has been described as dark folk/world music fusion. Spencer is also a founding member of the rock/funk group The Vandevier Breaks who play a variety of covers and originals throughout northern Arizona.  Spencer also works as a session bass player and vocalist, working with artists in northern Arizona as well as Phoenix.

Gregg Gould has been a part of the Verde Valley music scene for several years. He is an accomplished solo performer, comfortable singing and playing old standards to rock and roll and everything in between.  Currently he is working with singer/songwriter, Don Whitcher on a duo project.  Together they are “Velvet Buffalo”.

Camp Verde Community Library is located at 130 N Black Bridge Road just off Montezuma Castle Highway in Camp Verde. The library is open Monday-Thursday 8:00a-7:00p and Friday-Saturday 9:00a-5:00p.
