Sedona News – Storyteller Michael Coyote Peach returns to the Sedona Heritage Museum with a new program for 2025!  “Oops!” is a series of tongue-in-cheek stories about misadventures from Arizona’s past and present, featuring three new story-poems and the return of a few classics.

photo michaelpeach17An engineering failure leads to the birth of a town in which an enterprising pastor-turned-marshal learns that fashion can lead to fatality.  Holbrook’s first sheriff pens an invitation that touches off an international fracas.  Some Arizona Rangers learn that it’s not wise to irritate Mexican clowns.  A Tombstone outlaw finds himself in the wrong place on the wrong horse at the wrong time.  Pompous army officers are cowed by a crafty surveyor.  Male machismo becomes an internet meme when a bobcat visits a local bar.

Laugh and learn from these entertaining tales of bad choices and unintended consequences told with intricate word play, wise-cracks, and Mike’s wicked sense of humor.  (You may want to have pen and paper handy to tally up the frequent topical references contained within the rhymes!)

    Whack – A – Mole War

It looks like the tried-and-true method of armed conflict where armies face each other and kill until somebody wins or gives up, now all it takes is assassinating the leadership Israeli style. We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
