    MATFORCE Virtual Learning Series Focuses on Self-Care, Stress Management, and Resiliency to Start the New Year

    Yavapai County, AZ – MATFORCE is a primary prevention organization in Yavapai County, AZ, dedicated to preventing youth drug use before it begins. Launching the winter season, MATFORCE is pleased to announce the continuation of its virtual learning series, “MATFORCE Messages.” This series aims to foster healthier communities by featuring presentations from subject matter experts on a variety of topics.

    Resiliency, Stress Management and Self-Care, presented by Nate Auvenshine, Redeemed Training and Consulting, LLC, is scheduled for Thursday, January 22nd at 11:00 am.

    The course provides attendees with a foundational understanding of stress, covering its types, identification, and three stages, along with the signs and symptoms. It will also teach essential tools and techniques for effective stress management, building resiliency, and increasing personal capacity, emphasizing that self-care is crucial for those who care for others.

    MATFORCE is a community organization that educates and raises awareness about substance abuse issues, and advocates for policy change throughout Yavapai County. With over 300 active volunteers, MATFORCE encompasses the belief that stopping drug use before it starts through primary prevention strategies is an essential part of building healthier communities. Programs of MATFORCE include drug prevention education in schools, the Yavapai Reentry Project, Trauma Lens Care, public awareness and education campaigns, and advocating for policy change at the state and local level.
