Yavapai County News – MATFORCE, a primary prevention organization focused on stopping youth substance use before it starts, is pleased to announce its new address: 7749 E Florentine Road, Suite A, Prescott Valley, AZ.

MATFORCE has been serving the Yavapai County community since 2006 to educate and raise awareness about substance use issues. A few projects and programs of MATFORCE include substance use prevention education in the schools, public service campaigns, supporting community members returning from incarceration, and connecting law enforcement and schools to support students who have experienced a traumatic event.

In addition to our programs and projects, MATFORCE is a community distribution site for naloxone, an overdose-reversal medication that can save lives in the event of an opioid overdose. Naloxone is available free of charge at MATFORCE’s new location. MATFORCE volunteers and staff also provide training on when and how to administer naloxone.

    Compassion Has no Party

Whether you are Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative, one truth remains: the vast majority of people on this planet are, at their core, decent. They believe in fairness, in dignity, and in the simple idea that other human beings matter.
