    Living Under “Dark Skies” can be Challenging, and Beautiful!

    It’s sort of interesting to note that there are certain areas of the country that are officially designated as “Dark Sky Areas”, meaning no streetlights or illumination allowed.  Lots of these are areas over state parks, thou some are within city limits… for example- Sedona, Arizona!  The concept behind this idea is to protect us from “light pollution”, i.e. neon signs, illuminated billboards, even streetlights!  It’s a cool idea, but not great for people who have “night blindness” (yes, sometimes me!)
