I just returned from a lovely visit to Arroyo Roble (where I have had a time share for at least 25 years). The traffic on 89a is horrific approaching uptown from west Sedona or the Y intersection. People drive in the left lane and at the last minute cut in front of cars in the continuing right lane, further slowing traffic. I’ve never seen the situation this bad.
The new median seems to have only closed things in more making it a very tight street in both directions. Then backing out of a metered parking space becomes a difficult maneuver.
Also of concern is how emergency vehicles, such as ambulances or fire trucks, can possibly move through that traffic log jam known as 89a in uptown.
Just another voice wanting to be heard.
