    Kurt Harris elected Chairman of Oak Creek Watershed Council Board of Directors

    logo oakcreekwatershedcouncilSedona AZ (January 13, 2012) – At their annual meeting on Dec. 9, 2011, the Board of Directors of the Oak Creek Watershed Council elected Kurt Harris, P.E. to be Chairman for 2012.

    Kurt is Environmental Coordinator for the Flagstaff District with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), and has previously worked as a Consulting Engineer, as well as with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ).

    Outgoing Chairman, Charles Ester, Water Resource Operations Manager at SRP has been a member of OCWC since the nineties, and was instrumental in its transition to a nonprofit corporation.  Charlie is shown here receiving an award for his meritorious services from Executive Director, Barry Allan.

    Newly elected Board members are Gail Clement, Consulting Geologist; Steve Estes, Community Outreach Director of the Verde Valley Land Preservation  and Friends of the Verde River Greenway; and Lee Luedeker, Wildlife Manager at Arizona Game & Fish.

    The Oak Creek Watershed Council is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) corporation dedicated to protecting the Oak Creek Watershed environment, and preserving the integrity of Oak Creek.
