20140528_AHStarry-NightinJerome561Cellar 433 hosts Jerome artist Danny Seltzer as he paints live in the gallery for June’s Art Walk. Danny comes to us all the way from Bisbee, AZ where his murals can be seen adorn historic buildings. Danny’s expressive mixed media pieces speak to us from found objects and canvass. At the tasting room and art gallery, sip and savor AZ wines grown, produced and bottled on Arizona soil. Enjoy the spectacular view of the Verde Valley and the glowing red rocks of Sedona. We feature our AZ wines on two floors filled with amazing art and astounding views in a casual, but elegant space.

Whether you are a long-time friend of Roberge & Day or have been meaning to stop in and visit our wonderland, we invite you to come celebrate a big transition with us this Art Walk.  June 7th is the last day our gallery will be open to the public and it is going to be a party to remember.  We will still be producing our exquisite wearable art and gorgeous hand-dyed fibers, but we will be selling through other retailers and online.  Please stop by and say hello and share in this joyful evolution! We are open 12-5 daily through June 7.  And please take advantage of our sale of the last remaining paintings by Derryl Day, an extraordinary painter of the Grand Canyon and Verde Valley.

Just in time for summer, Pura Vida Gallery debuts new bright, sassy colors of Renee Sonnichsen’s handbags.  Hand-crafted from marine grade vinyl and recycled airline cables, Renee describes her handbags as Strong, Sexy, and Smart!  Join Pura Vida for chocolates and champagne on the evening of the Jerome Art Walk.

Gallery 527 features two well-known local artists for the month of June. Jewelry artist Marian Ward and encaustic painter Ardis Harsche are pairing up to present “A Starry Night in Jerome”.  Ardis’s signature piece captures the magical mystery of the glittering mile high town at dusk. The sky is filled with the artist’s interpretation of the stars and planets, loosely based on Native American symbols. Companion paintings will include color blocks with abstract imagery imbedded in bold layers of wax. Ardis has also created some miniature encaustics which are perfect as a group or as an accent for a small space. If you have ever dreamed of having an original by Ardis, this is an affordable approach to collecting. Marian Ward has designed some charming lockets including a turtle, new copper earrings, a stunning Viking weave and amethyst bead necklace and an innovative hematite and white turquoise contemporary necklace. Susan Pitcairn, Ramona Stites, Sallie Cross, Mary Phoenix, Brandi Lee Cooper and Lorraine Fexas will also be at the June 7th event to talk about their work and join in the festivities. The opening starts at 5pm and goes until 8pm.  Come for the art and enjoy good food and wine as well as great conversation. Hey Papi
    Happy Father’s Day Papi!

How’s it going up there in heaven? It’s Father’s Day here on Earth, and I’m thinking of you—missing you—now that I’m one year older than you were when you passed away. I just want to thank you for everything you taught me. Thank you for taking such good care of me. Thank you for helping me walk when I couldn’t walk. Thank you for making me strong against all adversity. Thank you for teaching me how to look behind the scenes and see what’s not being shown.
