Sedona AZ (June 18, 2013) – The City of Sedona has been disbanding all the commissions that have been serving the community for many years. They are being reformulated with City Staff selecting issues and asking for citizens to volunteer to assist. This is opposite to the way commissions have operated in the past where citizens drove the issues and staff supported the commissions. The city cited costs of staff time as a primary reason for the disbanding. Now, the city is proposing to hire a new full time employee and an additional new part time employee to manage all the new reformulated commissions. Sedona.biz wants to know what you think.
