    …

Friday morning found me in Eric’s backyard, safely tucked in an enclosed blind waiting for the Lazuli Buntings and other travelers to show up. A large Yeti filled with espresso and tamed by an appropriate quantity of whole milk, sweetened by Stevia and vanilla extract provided the refreshments. The setups were only about thirty feet in front of me and over the course of a few hours I got 1500 shots … now reduced to 81 and here are two of them.

Learn more about the Lazuli Bunting by clicking on the name. Amazing little creatures who pass through our area during Spring and Fall migrations. Right now there are about 587 million birds in the air over the USA migrating … You can check this number and much more localized information by clicking on Bird Info . The bird population in the USA is estimated to be as high as 20 billion. The nocturnal data for migration numbers is derived from the US Weather Surveillance Radar Network locally from sunset to sunrise.

The photo above shows a Lazuli Bunting heading towards the food tray from a nearby perch and the lower image is of one flaring for a landing on a perch in front of the hidden food tray.

Into an, EPIC new week … ask yourself, are you breathing? alive? That is epic and you can choose to fill the time with work, service to others, love, smiles, and make friends that will be with you for a lifetime! Always your choice and no one else’s!

Here we go … and thanks for the opportunity, Eric

    Cheers,

    Ted

surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength

of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.

But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.

Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe no less

than the trees and stars; you have a right to be

here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no

doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

    Whack – A – Mole War

It looks like the tried-and-true method of armed conflict where armies face each other and kill until somebody wins or gives up, now all it takes is assassinating the leadership Israeli style. We enter a new phase of war where the leaders are killed first rather than last as in conventional warfare.
