logo_campverdecommunitylibraryCamp Verde AZ (July 3, 2019) – Join inspirational speaker Eve Moffatt at Camp Verde Community Library at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 17th and again on Wednesday, July 24th for a humorous and informative take on aging.  Her speeches promise to be inspiriting and will leave you with a different way of looking at aging!

Prior to a stroke in 2006, Eve Moffatt incorporated her world-class skills as a professional speaker and writer into her inspirational keynote speeches. She had to overcome more than her share of life’s adversities. Eve’s strong faith, determination and what she calls ‘life skills’ helped her step above adversity. She shared these ‘life skills’ and provided her audiences with practical tools and techniques for getting the most out of life.  Eve continues life after her stoke by sharing with others.  She believes what the world needs now is hope.  Eve shares her passion by sharing her experiences and hope with others.

20190703_EveMoffattIn her speeches, Eve refers to herself as a living, breathing example of how personal setbacks and crushing defeats can be turned around.  She offers inspiring stories from her own life and from people’s lives whom she refers to as “those everyday heroes”.

Eve reminds us of the importance of being genuine as she speaks openly and honestly to her audiences. She incorporates good, old-fashioned common sense along with her experiences, training, and research. Her energy, humor, passion, and raw honesty allows her to cross cultural, racial, and socioeconomic barriers.

City Council Weighs ATV Ban Ordinance Proposal
    By Tommy Acosta
The Sedona City Council at its May 23, 2023 meeting took no action on a proposed ordinance that would ban all off-road vehicles from being driven on state-owned public roads or streets owned by the city. The ordinance, spearheaded by Sedona Mayor Scott Jablow on the premise that such vehicles pose a risk to the health, safety and welfare of the community, would impose heavy fines to anyone driving the ATVs or OHVs on city streets, including S.R. 179 and S.R. 89A. ATV rental companies have admitted that such vehicles are not intended or designed to be driven on paved roads, yet, in Arizona, they are allowed to do so under Arizona Revised Statute 28-1174 (4B). Opponents against the ordinance argued at the meeting that if adopted the ban would cripple the ATV rental industry in Sedona and cause much hardship to the owners and employees, as it would effectively, as written, destroy their livelihood.
