Sedona AZ (February 21, 2020) – Regulations to protect the environment went into effect January 1, outlawing Freon (sometimes referred to as HCFC-22 or R-22) which is destroying the ozone but is also a greenhouse gas. Businesses or homeowners with very old units will likely have to replace them if they are found to be leaking, but the new models will likely be very much more efficient. A little leakage may not seem like a big deal but HCFC-22 has over 2000 times the global warming potential of carbon dioxide. Learn more.
