Sedona, AZ –Residents who support affordable health care, good jobs for all, protecting voting rights, and ending illegal wars are invited to participate in one of four No Kings events across the Verde Valley on Saturday, March 28.

Events are scheduled in Cottonwood, (two locations), the Village of Oak Creek, and West Sedona. In West Sedona, people will gather at 10 am in the parking lot of Sedona High School, before marching to The Commons, on White Bear Road. There, a Freedom Festival will feature speakers, music by local artist Tommy Rocks, and food trucks.

The local events are part of a nationwide day of action under the No Kings banner. According to Indivisible, there will be over 3,000 events nationwide for people committed to defending the constitution, our rights and freedoms.

Participants will engage in peaceful protests to call attention to what they see as misguided national priorities, including tax policies that benefit billionaires while reducing funding to essential services that Americans depend on.

“This country was founded in defiance of a tyrannical King, and that spirit of independence is still alive today,” said Toby Friedman, leader of Sedona Indivisible.

Groups supporting the marches include local Indivisible groups, Democrats of the Red Rocks, Verde Valley Democrats and Rural Organizing Initiative.

    Trust

Trust. We must trust our president. He knows what he is doing, and when he is done with Iran there will be peace and stability in the world. His ordering of the attack on Iran and the killing of the Ayatollah was the right thing to do.
