Sedona, AZ — At Tuesday’s December 2nd Sedona City Council meeting, former Red Rock News reporter Tim Perry accused the city’s human resources manager, Russ Martin,  of concealing official exit interview records.

Perry claimed Martin possesses actual, recorded exit interviews from former city employees—directly contradicting Martin’s alleged assertion that no exit interviews exist, according to Perry.

    Perry said, addressing the council:

“This is not optional. You’re required by law to turn over this information. And if you do not? We will take the laws that you have sworn and failed to uphold, and we will beat you with them.”

Perry then  put the City of Sedona on notice, warning that if the requested documents are not produced by the end of business Thursday, December 11th, 2025, he will take the matter to Superior Court.

Interim Mayor Holli Ploog, turned to City Attorney Kurt Christianson and instructed him to follow up on the matter without delay.

This exchange raised questions about transparency, documentation practices, and internal accountability within Sedona’s city administration.
