The conviction is a result of the murder of Krystil Wilson, 22, of Bullhead City, AZ, who was drowned to death in the Beasley Flats area of the Verde River near Camp Verde on July 19, 2007.  After further investigation by the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office many years after her death, detectives were able to determine this to be a homicide and linked Rider to Wilson’s death.  The US Marshals Office assisted in tracking and arresting Rider in Florida in 2012.
