Festival partners with Basecamp and Sedona Beer Company for outdoor film experience
Sedona, AZ — It’s “Big Screen at Basecamp” as the Sedona International Film Festival partners with Sedona Beer Company for its “Movies on the Move” cinema under the stars outdoor film experience at Basecamp in West Sedona — every Thursday in the summer season!
Join us on Thursday, Aug. 14 as we present “Raiders of the Lost Ark” at Basecamp/Sedona Beer Company at dusk.
“Raiders of the Lost Ark” — directed by Steven Speilberg — was nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. It took home five Oscars: Best Visual Effects, Best Sound, Best Sound Effects Editing (Special Achievement), Best Art Direction and Best Film Editing.
Dr. Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford), a renowned archeologist and expert in the occult, is hired by the U.S. Government to find the ark of the covenant, which is believed to still hold the Ten Commandments. Unfortunately, Hitler’s agents are also after the ark. Indy and his ex-flame Marion (Karen Allen) escape from various close scrapes in a quest that takes them from Nepal to Cairo.
Basecamp will offer a selection of craft beers, food and beverages (and a special menu item themed to each film), with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Sedona International Film Festival.
“Raiders of the Lost Ark” will be shown outdoors at Basecamp Sedona Beer Company (70 Dry Creek Road) on Thursday, Aug. 14 at dusk. Seating will begin at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs. Parking is free and available at Basecamp and the Sedona Public Library.
Tickets are only $10 each, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.
