Sedona News – The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premiere of “Jerry Lee Lewis: Trouble in Mind” showing Feb. 9-15 at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre.

The archival music documentary presents its subject as an enigma and a force of nature, a rock ’n’ roller whose passion and demons fueled his volcanic music.

For his first solo directing project, Ethan Coen draws from existing interviews and performance footage to create a portrait of what is so mythic about the 86-year-old legend — and also what remains so vexing. Still, Coen reserves judgement, the collected materials serving as a testament to Lewis’ unapologetic resilience.

The film lets Lewis speak for himself, selecting filmed interviews he has given at different stages of his career to form the story’s spine. These segments are combined with performance clips as we see Lewis at varying ages doing fiery renditions of “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On”, “Great Balls Of Fire” and other hits.

“Jerry Lee Lewis: Trouble in Mind” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre Feb. 9-15. Showtimes will be Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9 and 10 at 4:00 p.m.; Monday, Feb. 12 at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.; and Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 14 and 15 at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $12, or $9 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.
