logo_famosSedona AZ (November 24, 2019) – The Fine Art Museum of Sedona announced today that it had received an anonymous donation to match gift donations up to $25,000 to establish an Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) Fund to financially support acquisition, construction, renovation, or maintenance of facilities.

The FAMoS Board of Trustees has been working diligently to acquire the best property to establish a state of the art facility to house a fine art museum for Sedona and the Verde Valley. This recent donation will establish a reserve fund with the ACF said Mary Byrd, Chairwoman of the Board.  Donors can be assured that their tax deductible donations will be held and managed by the financial experts of ACF. Our donor will match other donors’ gifts from December 1, 2019 to February 15, 2020.

If this art museum is ever built, I hope they hire a new architect. The proposed building pictured in the newspaper a few years ago looked like a factory.
The building should complement the environment it is built in.
In the meantime, I hope they are securing art from Sedona area artists and the Verde Valley as well while we are waiting for this museum to be built.
