Sedona News – The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for overnight lane restrictions on State Route 89A in Sedona from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday night, Sept. 22, and ending Friday morning, Sept. 27.

Drivers should be prepared to make frequent stops and expect delays while the following restrictions are in place:

    • SR 89A will be intermittently reduced to one lane in each direction between Arroyo Pinion Drive and just before the junction with State Route 179 (mileposts 371-374).
    • Signage will guide drivers through the work zone.
    • The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.
    • Restrictions will be lifted each day after work hours.

The restrictions are needed to complete pavement preservation work along this section of SR 89A.
