Cottonwood AZ (March 11, 2021) – On March 9, 2021, the Verde Valley Fire District Board of Directors unanimously approved the hiring of Daniel “Danny” Johnson as the next Fire Chief for Verde Valley Fire District.
The Board of Directors began the process of searching and selecting a new Fire Chief when Chief Joe Moore submitted his letter of retirement in September of 2020. Board Chairman Ken Bishop stated, “It has been a long and arduous process to complete during the COVID pandemic. We believe Mr. Johnson will be a great fit as our new Fire Chief and we look forward to working with him.”
