Sedona News – In order to extend pavement life and improve the road quality for Sedona motorists, the city and their contractor, Cactus Asphalt, will begin a crack seal project on the following roads the week of Feb. 17, 2025:

    • Chapel Road, from State Route (SR) 179 to Fox Road
    • Shadow Rock Drive
    • Coffee Pot Drive, from SR 89A to Mountain Shadows Drive
    • Jordan Road, from SR 89A to Park Ridge Drive

Crack sealing is a technique that involves filling roadway cracks with a sealant to prevent water and debris from entering and causing more deterioration. The roadways will be re-striped following crack seal operations.

Work may occur Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. No road closures are anticipated for crack sealing, however, please be aware of moving flagging operations during this work. To avoid conflicts with construction equipment and expedite completion of the project, the city asks that drivers avoid on-street parking along the affected roadways while construction is underway. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained when possible, however, temporary restrictions may occur when crack sealing operations are taking place. This is a fast-moving operation, and each specific area will be completed within one or two days.

Crack seal operations are the first step in repairing these roadways. Cactus Asphalt will return in spring/summer 2025 to perform additional pavement rehabilitation operations.

For questions and additional project information call the Project Hotline at (928) 852-4164.

    Beatles Tribute at Blazin’ M

I can honestly say, having grown up in the Bronx in the 60s, that if it had not been for the Beatles I most likely would have grown up to be a criminal or been killed in a violent gang war.
