The employee was going into the store bathroom when she was physically shoved out of the way by one of the suspects.

When officers arrived the suspects were in the parking lot and immediately attacked the responding officers. We Have Been Thoroughly Trained!
    By Amaya Gayle Gregory

Throughout the years, we have been trained. Part of the training is to see others as trained, but not ourselves. Even though we are the others that others are trained to see as trained, we tend to miss that little nuance. The training says we must know what’s right and speak out when we see something that runs contrary to our understanding of rightness. We don’t stop to realize that what we see as right isn’t exactly right or it would be the right version that everyone in their right mind knew as right. There are billions of versions of right but ours is the only real right one. Seems fishy, doesn’t it? We spend our days, our lives, catching others — the wrong ones — doing and saying things in support of their versions of right and our training has us jumping on the critical bandwagon lest we be painted in support of the wrong right. What in this crazy world moves us with such amazing force to crave rightness, to need to be seen as right? Read more→
