Sedona AZ (June 2, 2017) – In an effort to protect Oak Creek from pollutants the Public Works Department is requesting comments on the city’s Storm Water Management Program. This public outreach also helps maintain compliance with Arizona Department of Environmental Quality requirements.
The Storm Water Management Program identifies steps the city will take to improve the quality of storm water draining from the storm water system. The program addresses activities that may result in storm water pollution from construction sites, existing developments, government agencies, and residents or tourists. The program does not address the volume of water the system handles.
Details about the Storm Water Management Program are available in a PDF file posted on the web at sedonaaz.gov/swmp.
Provide your comments by June 30 in person to the City of Sedona Public Works Department at 102 Roadrunner Drive or by email to Michael Righi, assistant engineer, at mrighi@sedonaaz.gov.
