Sedona News – To learn about and celebrate the sustainable management of freshwater resources, the city of Sedona, Oak Creek Watershed Council and Arizona Water Company invite the public to the second annual World Water Day celebration event on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Slide Rock State Park at 6871 N. Highway 89A.

Through hands-on activities, the public is encouraged to participate in a macroinvertebrate survey in the Oak Creek, learn how water moves underground and discover how stormwater flows through Sedona. Upon completing at least three event activities, participants will be entered to win a special prize. This year, the event will have a food truck on-site for anyone to purchase a meal during the event hours.

    Ode to Sleeplessness

    By Amaya Gayle Gregory

I sleep well most nights. This is something relatively new for me. For many years, I was a raging insomniac. I didn’t sleep well last night and found myself meditating around 4am, not so much to get to sleep but for something to pass the time.
