SEDONA, Ariz. – Help shape tourism strategy in Sedona by applying for one of the five open seats on the Tourism Advisory Board (TAB), with one vacancy following a resignation, as well as four other seats that will be open due to current member terms expiring in December.

This voluntary body, established by city council, consists of 11 volunteers appointed to advise the city council and staff on decisions related to tourism strategic planning, marketing, visitor management, regional tourism efforts and any other tourism related matters assigned to it by the city council.

The TAB represents a broad range of perspectives and opinions. Applicants should be at least one of the following: a Sedona resident, own or operate a business within the city limits or represent an organization serving the community.

The term of service for the vacant seat will begin immediately, filling the remainder of the current term through Dec. 31, 2025, and then continue into a new four-year term from Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2029. The four expiring seats will each start a new four-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2026, and ending Dec. 31, 2029.

The TAB currently meets eight times per year in February, April, May, June, August, September, October and December on the first Wednesday of those months from 3 – 5 p.m.

“The TAB has been essential at helping shape the direction of the city’s Tourism Program. The diversity of opinions that represent the broader Sedona community, thoughtful discussions and consensus around major decisions helps city staff have a much appreciated sounding board as we tackle big topics around tourism,” said Tourism Manager Andrew Grossmann. Applications are available at the City Clerk’s office, at 102 Roadrunner Dr. or by accessing this fillable PDF. Return completed applications to the City Clerk’s Office or via email at cityclerksdept@sedonaaz.gov no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025.
