Sedona AZ (December 15, 2011) – At their December 13, 2011 meeting, Sedona City Council appointed Sandy Moriarty and Christina Tucker to serve on the Housing Commission. This seven-member commission makes recommendations regarding housing related matters to the City Council.
Specific responsibilities include developing criteria and goals for affordable housing, exploring public-private partnerships, developing specific incentive and regulatory-based strategies to increase, preserve and rehabilitate housing, recommending financing options, listening to recommendations by the public and affordable housing beneficiaries, and considering housing as part of a regional strategy.
Housing Commission meetings are generally held the first Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. For more specific information about the Housing Commission, visit the City’s website at www.SedonaAz.gov/housing.
