Yavapai County Attorney McGrane stated, “Yavapai County has no place for persons who are sexually attracted to children. My office will vigorously prosecute anyone who harms a child or seeks out sexual images of young kids. I hope the lengthy prison sentence that will be imposed in this case deters anyone else from victimizing young children.” County Attorney Dennis McGrane also thanked the jurors for their careful attention to the facts, and commended Deputy Yavapai County Attorney George Rodriguez for skillfully presenting the case at trial. County Attorney McGrane also thanked Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Chino Valley Police Department for their diligent work to catch a child predator.

The law enforcement investigation began in Feb. 2024 when a HSI agent discovered that known child pornography had been downloaded in Chino Valley. The Chino Valley Police Department and HSI investigation led to the service of a search warrant at Mr. Colin’s residence. Officers found a large amount of child pornography, including images of children who appeared to be under six years old and children being sexually assaulted.

Sentencing is set for May 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. before the Honorable Judge Krista Carman of the Yavapai County Superior Court. Colin is facing a minimum of 70 years in the Arizona State prison.
