    Prescott, AZ— Arizona Philharmonic invites you to get into the holiday spirit with The Brilliance of Brass, 3pm Sunday, December 7, at the Ruth Street Theater. This holiday performance is in collaboration with the Phoenix Brass Collective (PBC), a dynamic 12-piece ensemble made up of AZ Phil musicians and exceptional brass players and percussionists from across the nation. The repertoire features the festive, rich and unrivaled sound that will appeal to families, holiday music lovers and classical brass enthusiasts alike. “With classic carols and popular holiday tunes, you’ll be surrounded by the sparkle and majesty of brass, connecting you to lively rhythms, bold harmonies, and joyous sounds that bring the season to life, making for an unforgettable holiday memory,” commented Henry Flurry, AZ Phil Artistic Director.

Working alongside the top-notch professionals at the Arizona Philharmonic and knowing the caliber of musicians and performances they command, has been a delight for our brass musicians, as together we prepare some of the most dynamic renditions of everyone’s favorite holiday classics ever heard,” added Seth Bärtschi, PBC PR Director and bass trombonist.

    The Brilliance of Brass program spans timeless carols such as O Come All Ye Faithful, Coventry Carol, and Ding Dong Merrily on High, alongside festive American favorites including The Christmas Song and White Christmas, plus a sparkling holiday medley of Sleigh Ride, Jingle Bells, and more. More information and tickets are available at AZPhil.org, or by calling 855-321-6724. All shows take place at the acoustically exquisite Ruth Street Theater, 1050 Ruth Street on Prescott High School grounds. Individual tickets start at $28 and include ticketing fees.     The Phoenix Brass Collective (PBC) has been providing Arizona with high-caliber brass performances since its inception in 2018. Made up of 18 of the top brass and percussion performers in and around Phoenix, Arizona, the group prides itself in its artful musicianship and precision execution. In addition, PBC has made it a priority to take an active role in the education of young musicians, and has organized two international Young Artist Competitions, challenging young brass players from around the world to hone their skills. Since its inception, the Phoenix Brass Collective has commissioned and premiered a number of new works and arrangements for brass choir.
