Verde Valley News – The wonders of nature surround us. Yet, sometimes the best way to reconnect with its beauty is to see it translated into art. Yavapai College’s Patty McMullen-Mickles Gallery invites you to Flora and Fauna, a celebration of the natural world in watercolors, oils, sculpture photography and more, August 22 through September 19, at YC’s Verde Valley Campus in Clarkdale.

Flora and Fauna showcases artistic interpretations of the natural world, highlighting our intricate relationships with plants, creatures and the environment we share. Juror Beth Courtright-Detwiler reviewed submitted works from all around the country before selecting an exciting mix of mediums, styles and perspectives.

Flora and Fauna opens Thursday, August 22 at the McMullen-Mikles Gallery and runs through Thursday, September 19. The Gallery will host an opening reception August 22, from 5 to 7 p.m.
