    Arizona State Parks & Trails Welcomes Veterans to the Parks with Free Entry

    Arizona State ParksPhoenix AZ (November 6, 2018) – Arizona State Parks & Trails is proud to offer FREE entrance to veterans and active duty military to most state parks on Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11, 2018 as a thank you for their service to our country.

    With state parks located throughout Arizona, there are many opportunities to relax and explore the great outdoors. All year long, Arizona State Parks & Trails offers a discount program for veterans and active duty military. You must show your military identification for the free entrance on Sunday, November 11.

    For more information, visit AZStateParks.com/passes/. Several events are also being held this Sunday and Monday in cities near state parks to honor veterans.
    • Lake Havasu City – Veterans’ Day Parade – Parade on McCullough Blvd. in the downtown district at 10 a.m.
    • Payson – Veterans Day Program – An event honoring Veterans at the Payson High School Auditorium from 10-11 a.m.
    • Sedona – Veterans Day Tribute – The city’s annual tribute to veterans and active military includes a flag ceremony and recognition of veterans at the Sedona Heritage Museum at 11 a.m.
    • Tucson – 99th Annual Tucson Veterans Day Parade – The parade starts in downtown Tucson at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 12.
