Arizona News – The Arizona Community Foundation is pleased to announce two key promotions in its regional offices. Both regional directors will focus on sustainable asset development, donor and community engagement, professional advisor outreach, and volunteer development across their region.

In the ACF of Sedona office, Sheri Denny, MBA, CNP, has been promoted to Regional Director. Sheri has been with ACF since 2021, serving as a Regional Philanthropic Advisor in both Yavapai County and Sedona, and is a key community partner in building assets to enhance grantmaking and scholarships and facilitating grant cycles. Sheri has over 20 years of business development experience across the nonprofit, higher education, industry, and government sectors. She has held a variety of positions within nonprofit organizations—having served as a volunteer, staff member, executive director, donor, and board member—and has worked with rural, statewide, and national nonprofits. Sheri holds an MBA from San Diego State University, a bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University, and is a Certified Nonprofit Professional.

Serving ACF’s southeast region will be Colleen Iuliucci who has also been promoted to Regional Director. Colleen joined ACF in 2021 as a Regional Philanthropic Advisor and has been instrumental in building key local partnerships and engaging donors across southeast Arizona. With over a decade of nonprofit and fund development experience, Collen brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her new role. Prior to joining ACF, she worked with Arizona Land and Water Trust. Colleen serves on the Board of Directors for the Planned Giving Roundtable of Southern Arizona and is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Southern Arizona. She is a graduate of the American Express Leadership Academy at the Arizona State University Lodestar Center for Nonprofit Philanthropy & Innovation and holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Belmont University.

“The passion and dedication shown by Sheri and Colleen is nothing short of amazing,” said Jennifer W. Perry, ACF’s Vice President, Regional Impact. “Their extensive experience in relationship building and community collaboration will reinforce our longstanding commitment to Sedona and the Verde Valley, and to Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, and eastern Santa Cruz counties.”

Established in 1978, the Arizona Community Foundation is a statewide family of charitable funds supported by thousands of Arizonans. With five regional offices serving communities across Arizona, ACF is among the top 25 community foundations in the nation with more than $1.3 billion in trust and endowment assets and is certified under the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations. Since inception, ACF has awarded more than $1.3 billion in grants, scholarships, and loans to nonprofit organizations, schools, tribal entities, and government agencies.
