Sedona Fire DistrictSedona AZ (July 6, 2020) – A small aircraft made an emergency crash landing on HWY 89A at Mountain Shadows Drive shortly after 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning.  The plane, a 1964 Beechcraft A23 Musketeer, experienced engine problems shortly after take-off from Sedona Oak Creek airport.  “The pilot did a remarkable job of flying and landing the plane without hitting any vehicles or people on the ground,” said Fire Marshal Jon Davis.

Both occupants of the aircraft denied any injuries but elected to be transported to a local medical facility for evaluation.  The aircraft did sustain some damage during the landing attempt and was trucked from the highway.  Highway 89A remained open during the event.
