    ACF of Sedona welcomes nominations for
    Spirit of Sedona awards

    logo_arizonacommunityfoundationSedona AZ (May 12, 2016) – Each year, the Arizona Community Foundation of Sedona selects outstanding individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations to acknowledge for their work to make Sedona and the Verde Valley a great place to live. This year’s nomination process is now open, and community members are invited to submit their nominations in the following categories:

    • Philanthropist of the Year
    • Volunteer of the Year
    • Nonprofit Organization of the Year
    • Business Benefactor of the Year
    • Community Collaborator

    The nomination process is simple. Download the nomination form from the ACF of Sedona website at azfoundation.org/Sedona and print a copy for each nomination you would like to submit. Fill out the form and write a brief but detailed letter explaining why you believe your nominee embodies the Spirit of Sedona through leadership, volunteerism and philanthropy.

    Scan and email your nominations to Senior Regional Philanthropic Advisor Judi Smith at JASmith@azfoundation.org, or mail hard copies to P.O. Box 558, Sedona AZ 86339. Nominations must be submitted or postmarked before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31 to be considered.     If you recently moved to Sedona, you may notice that every four years, residents vote on something called Home Rule. The July 21 vote is simply about who controls Sedona’s city budget.
