… a place to fantasize … a place to live your visions … and a place to let your mind run free which is what I frequently do when I take to the skies above northern Arizona. This is from a flight a couple of weeks ago and I was running above the ridge line from Humphreys Peak to Agassiz Peak and cranking in towards the ridge following the ridgeline when I took this shot. Humphreys is off to the left out of the shot and Agassiz just out of frame to the right. Snowbowl is below the funnel on the right side and you can see the trail line below the ridge heading up to Humphreys Peak. Fremont Peak and Doyle are seen heading to the left on the south side of the peaks. I was at 12,762’ when I took this shot which about 148’ above Humphreys and a few hundred above Agassiz.
The foreground of the image is as shot and the rest the dreamland that is flight … fun to imagine heading into a new dimension through the dream.
Into the weekend and the plan is to return Monday morning … have a beautiful weekend … keep breathing and enjoy each day that is given to you as it is the only one you have. Have friends and family? Tell them how much they mean to you … that you love them and how they add to the beauty you find in life. Time is short, we have expiration dates that are not known so take advantage of today and make it good for others.
Cheers
Ted
Give me a few friends who will love me for what I am;
and keep ever burning before my vagrant steps the kindly light of hope.
And though age and infirmity overtake me, and I come not within
sight of the castle of my dreams, teach me still to be thankful for life;
and for time’s olden memories that are good and sweet; and may
the evenings twilight find me gentle still.
