Ian Whitehead to Teach Beginning Photographers

8 13 2011SAGA LOGO REDUCED1Sedona, AZ (September 7, 2011) – Many photography workshops, especially those with trips into the field, are intended for advanced amateurs and early professionals. By contrast, here is a workshop intended from the outset for beginning photographers or at least those who see themselves in that category.

In this workshop SAGA Master Photographer Ian Whitehead teaches a workshop for beginning photographers that will help them move their photography to the next level in a workshop That will teach them how to use the seemingly confusing controls on their cameras.

The workshop will held half in class and half in the field from 3pm to 7pm (to catch the sunset) on September 10, 2011. The workshop is limited to 8 people to allow for individualized attention. The location is in Sedona. A map will be provided upon registration. Must bring a camera and the manual, if you have one, to find the relevant controls. The fee is $100. For more information and to register for this workshop please go to www.sedonasaga.com.

09072011 SAGA1Many cameras these days make it easy to take pictures on “Automatic.” Although it is possible to get an very good picture this way, usually when the camera adjusts its own controls it is always an average, an approximation and the resulting picture look a little too fuzzy , or are a little too blue, or a little too dark, and so on.. Better pictures are more likely when the owner knows how to adjust the camera’s controls for the specific lighting and motion in the scene.

Ian Whitehead is known throughout the Southwest both for his photography and for his educational photo workshops that take participants into some of the most amazing and beautiful places in the world. His casual individualistic approach is appreciated by those who have been in his workshops before. Hit attention to detail is unsurpassed among all photographers.
